you dash through the gates on your stead grabbing your shoulder tight under gritted teeth.

You bite your lip as you ride down into the forest beyond the village hoping to lose your pursuers.
Your horse begins to slow down as it enters the forest but a quick look around shows that all signs of a chase have subsided,
the thickness and foreboding nature of the forest must have scared off the horses of the soldiers who where following you slowing them down considerably.
